Thermal Imaging in
Chicago and Chicago Suburbs

Termal Imaging White Glove Building Inspections

Thermal Imaging sometimes called thermal or infrared imaging is a non-contact non-invasive technology that can scan large areas with a thermal/IR camera. These cameras are able to read the surface temperature and detect potential problems. These problems or potential trouble sources could be:

  • Potential Air Leakage

  • Missing Insulation and Thermal Barrier concerns

  • Roof Leaks

  • Heating Loss

  • Electrical Overheating

  • Moisture Intrusion with Possible Mold

White Glove Building Inspections, Inc. includes a multi-point thermal inspection with all of our home inspections and commercial inspections. Areas of interest will be around electrical panels, HVAC systems, water pans underneath showers and bathtubs, and more.

White Glove includes Thermal Imaging Inspections as they are one of the best ways to inspect beyond what can be seen with the naked eye to uncover issues that are hidden within walls. The use of thermal cameras is a diagnostic tool that allows the inspector to be more thorough in their findings, determining potential issues, and adding further insight than what is required from the minimum scope of the Illinois home inspection SOP.

Sometimes a full Thermal Inspection might be a better option for your needs.  This inspection would extend the areas that are viewed with the thermal camera.  All walls, windows, ceilings, electrical outlets and panels, plumbing connections, tubs, showers, and sinks from within the exterior and the interior, etc. To schedule this service specific requirements must be met for the inspection to move forward.  It is best to call White Glove Building Inspections, Inc. directly at 630-428-4555 to talk to a client care coordinator to review your options and provide you with an accurate quote.
